Three Killed by Collision

Huddersfield, Tuesday

A third death took place tonight as a result of a collision which occurred this morning on the Huddersfield-Meltham road between a Huddersfield Corporation double-deck bus and a small car.

Eric Walker (30), of Norman Avenue, Elland, and George Simpson (40). of Saxon Street, Halifax, were killed instantly, and Sidney Charlton (35), of Fanny Moor Crescent, Lower houses, died tonight in Huddersfield Royal Infirmary. J. Hill (30), of Yew Green Avenue, Lockwood, who is suffering from multiple injuries, was stated at the Infirmary tonight to be dangerously ill.

The four men were travelling in a car to their work at David Brown Tractors, Ltd., Meltham Mills. The collision occurred between Netherton Bar House and the bend leading to Healey House Station. The front of the bus was damaged and the car was wrecked.
